Winners and prize-winners of the regional rounds of the Olympiad in Mathematics from 74 regions of Russia came to the Republic of Mordovia to pass the final stage. We invited high school students to visit the plant of JSC Teplichnoye and see how vegetables grow in the greenhouse all year round. The tour started with the seedling section. The agronomist spoke about the stages of growth from a young plant to a fruit. After that, we visited the greenhouse block with adult plants and looked at the conditions under which vegetables grow. We talked about artificial intelligence, which controls irrigation, lighting, microclimate and monitors plant growth. Artificial intelligence helps to grow vegetables all year round, preserve vitamins, and bumblebees help to reveal their taste. During flowering, they pollinate plants. The guys tried the products directly from the branch. "The stereotype about greenhouse vegetables didn't come true," the participant shares her impression, " tomatoes turned out to be sweet and flavorful. The scale of the greenhouses and the technology are impressive."
