On March 3rd, with the support of Rosselkhozbank, ROST Group opened the second phase of the Michurinsky greenhouse complex in Tambov Oblast. It covers an area of 30.1 hectares and includes nine production units, nursery departments, and its own power center.
The opening ceremony was attended by Maxim Egorov, the head of Tambov Oblast, Andrey Razin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and partners.
The first production units, covering an area of 29.9 hectares, were launched in 2021. As a result, the total area of the Michurinsky is now 60 hectares. The second phase allows doubling vegetable production from 18.8 thousand tons in 2022 to 36.3 thousand tons in 2023. The number of employees has also doubled, with 1010 people currently working at the complex.
The expanded capacity enables the implementation of a strategy to provide fresh vegetables to Russians throughout the year.
