ROST Group, a leader in Russia's greenhouse-grown vegetable market, continues to expand its strategic partnership with Russian State Agrarian University — Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. As part of its growing collaboration with one of the country's leading agricultural universities, members of ROST Group's HR team met with students from the Department of Vegetable Production.
The event was held in the academy's ROST-branded classroom, the "ROST Knowledge Greenhouse," a dedicated space for educational programs and career exploration. More than 40 second- and third-year students from the Department of Vegetable Production attended. During the session, students learned about ROST Group, explored the operations and growth plans of Russia's largest producer of greenhouse-grown vegetables, and heard about internship opportunities and career paths in agtech.
One of the highlights was a conversation with guest speaker Valery Kobelev, a fourth-year student who completed a summer internship at the Lukhovitsy Vegetables greenhouse complex. Valery shared firsthand insights into day-to-day operations, company culture, and opportunities for professional growth. His candid perspective and responses to students' many questions brought a valuable peer voice to the formal program.
"Our ongoing partnerships with the country's leading agricultural universities are delivering real results. Events at the "ROST Knowledge Greenhouse" at Timiryazev Academy give us an opportunity not only to introduce future professionals to modern technologies and approaches in vegetable production, but also to build a strong pipeline of motivated young talent. We're seeing growing student interest in hands-on roles in agribusiness," said Irina Yabreeva, HR Director at ROST Group.
At the end of the event, the most engaged participants received commemorative gifts and company-branded merchandise. Following the session, 11 students have already applied for internships with ROST Group.
ROST Group plans to continue its series of educational programs and career-focused events for students at universities with relevant agricultural programs, further strengthening connections between industry and academia.
