On November 5–7, the annual international specialized B2B exhibition «Global Fresh Market: Vegetables&Fruits», organized by the National Union of Fruit and Vegetable Producers (which unites over 130 Russian companies operating in the industry and producing vegetables and fruits for the domestic market and export), was held in Moscow Gostiny Dvor.
ROST Group was traditionally engaged in one of the most respected business events of the year in the fruit and vegetable market.
The main stand of ROST Group, which was designed in green corporate colors, widely presented the brands of vegetables cultivated in the Group’s greenhouse plants: Flamenco tomatoes, Medovye and Sladkaya Yagoda cherry tomatoes, the ROST brand cucumbers, salads, and tomatoes, as well as Vika i Nika strawberries.
In addition, the exhibition featured stands of ROST Group production clusters that unite 21 plants from 13 regions of the country: the Urals, Center, South, and Black Earth. The plants were represented by company heads and agronomists.
At a separate stand of the Group’s HR service, students and young people could get to know the greenhouse vegetable industry while playing. On the final day of the business program, mainly devoted to agricultural education, ROST Group held a fascinating quiz for students, where the winners were awarded branded souvenirs.
The heads of various ROST Group divisions were involved in the business program to discuss the key trends in the protected vegetables sector and the current industry challenges. Galina Tikhonova, HR Director at ROST Group, spoke at a meeting of HR directors organized by ROST Group on the topic «Recruiting and Onboarding of Managers from Other Industries or Western Companies in the Agro-industrial Complex». Raisa Vyskubova, Deputy Director for Agrotechnology Development of ROST Group, and Ekaterina Makarova, Recruitment and Onboarding Manager of ROST Group, took part in the panel discussion «Shortage of Specialists in Greenhouse Business».
Within the Network Procurement Center, manufacturers were offered a unique pathway to establish and develop direct relations with large and small wholesale federal and regional retail chains, while representatives of Torgovyy Dom ROST held fruitful negotiations with leading Russian retailers.
With a convenient format and time frame, fruit and vegetable industry professionals could delve into Global Fresh Market, share expertise, and demonstrate new technical and agronomic solutions to improve the profitability of vegetable and fruit growing and meet the National Food Security Doctrine.
