On January 7, 2026, a ceremonial key handover took place in the Bryansk District, welcoming the first family into a new low-rise residential complex built for employees of the Zhurinichi Greenhouse Plant. The enterprise is part of ROST Group of Companies, the leader of Russia’s protected-ground vegetable market.
The first residents—the Vazhneev family—were congratulated on their housewarming by Nikolai Patrushev, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation; Alexander Bogomaz, Governor of Bryansk Region; and Anna Demidova, Director of the Zhurinichi Greenhouse Plant. The head of the family, Martin Vazhneev, a native of Bryansk, works at the complex as a climate control operator. His wife, Marina, is a vegetable grower. Their son Ilya is a student at Zhurinichi Secondary School.
The residential development was implemented with the support of federal and regional authorities under the state program "Integrated Development of Rural Areas."
The homes, each measuring 72 square meters, are fully equipped and provided under residential lease agreements. The lease term is ten years, after which ownership of the home is transferred to the residents.
“This is a clear, tangible result of our social policy for greenhouse teams,” said Natalia Loryosh, CEO of ROST Management Company. “The project creates comfortable living conditions for employees and their families. It addresses a key challenge—retaining talent in rural areas by building a modern residential environment. We plan to scale this successful model from the village of Zhurinichi to other enterprises across ROST Group.”
Total investment directly allocated to the construction of the residential complex amounted to 805.7 million rubles, including 98 million rubles contributed by ROST Group of Companies.
In addition to the housing development, the state program also delivered a full social and cultural infrastructure in Zhurinichi, including a school with a kindergarten, a primary healthcare clinic, and a multifunctional sports complex featuring an indoor ice rink with artificial ice, a roller-ski track, a gym, and a universal outdoor fitness area. Construction of a sports and wellness center with a swimming pool is currently underway.
The modern Zhurinichi greenhouse complex was commissioned by ROST Group in 2019. Built using cutting-edge technologies, it now provides stable employment for more than 400 residents of Bryansk Oblast. In 2025, a second phase covering 15 hectares was launched, increasing the facility’s overall production capacity and bringing total vegetable output at the Zhurinichi complex to 9,200 tons.
