Agronomist of ROST Group of Companies, Mikhail Palaev, wins the “Agronomist 2025” contest

As part of the international Global Fresh Market (GFM) fruit and vegetable exhibition, the awards ceremony for the winners of the federal “Agronomist 2025” contest took place. The professional community showed tremendous interest in the project: a record 300 applications from various regions of the country were submitted to the jury.

The contest was held in two categories, divided by professional experience: “Young Professionals” (up to 3 years) and “Recognized Experts” (over 3 years). Finalists faced a rigorous online challenge: a three-round quiz designed to test their deep and diverse knowledge of agronomy.

The winner in the “Recognized Experts” category and recipient of the 500,000-ruble prize was Mikhail Palaev, chief agronomist of the TyumenAgro greenhouse plant (part of the largest protected-ground vegetable producer, ROST Group of Companies). 

The contest organizers, represented by GFM Exhibition Deputy General Director Irina Ryzhova, congratulated the winners and noted the high level of professionalism among most participants. The “Agronomist 2025” contest has become a landmark event for the agronomy community, setting a new standard of professional excellence and helping raise the profile of agronomy careers across Russia.
